A Phone Call With Dad
After party is chapter 47 of the Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai light novel series. It is chapter ten of volume four.
On an afternoon of the third day of break from their finals, Kodaka makes a remark about their club's carefree attitude inside their clubroom. Rika suggests they celebrate with an after party celebrating the end of their finals. With Yozora's approval, the Neighbor's Club brings snacks and commences with their after party.
After their cheers, Kodaka convinces Yukimura into drinking orange juice instead after he witnesses the latter choking on cola. As Kodaka drinks from Yukimura's glass, Rika regards it as an indirect kiss. Yozora tries to fool Maria that drinking too much cola will cause her bones to melt causing Maria to offer her cola to Yozora which she refuses as Kodaka realizes that Yozora is still not good in drinking cola since their childhood days. After Kodaka asks Yozora about the aforementioned, Rika looks at the pair with suspicion as Kodaka offers to her Maria's cola.
Afterward, the rest of the Neighbor's Club returns to their normal state and did as they please, causing Kodaka to complain about the kind of party they are having. As they suggest on what games to play, Rika comes up with the King Game which most of them agrees on playing as both Kodaka and Yukimura oppose it, leaving them no choice but to play instead. However, Kodaka comes up with a condition where they write their orders beforehand and put it in a box where the king will randomly pick and declare instead of the king randomly declaring on what orders to be followed.
After numerous rounds of nonsensical orders, Sena becomes the king again for the fourth time of the game. As she picks out her order, she was surprised when the order was that the king (Sena) has to kiss number three. With Kodaka as number three, Sena calls out to him to follow on doing the said order. As they are about to kiss, Yozora stops them midway and smacks both Kodaka and Sena with her flyswatter. Thinking of a solution, Kodaka drinks Sena's glass and claims to the others as an indirect kiss to Sena, which everyone approves, thus fulfilling Sena's order. As such, the King Game is set to a close as Sena mumbles to herself that it is pointless for her to kiss Kodaka as part of a game.
That night, Kodaka receives a call from his father, Hayato, who is working overseas. Caught off guard, Kodaka is left confused as his father asks if his son, and his best friend's daughter, Sena, are getting married.
