Club Preparations: Something Resembling a Prologue! (AKA: Presenting the Characters!) (プロローグというかキャラの顔見せ というかツカミのようなもの) is chapter zero of the Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai manga series. It acts as a prologue chapter for the manga series and is included in volume one.

The chapter opens with the members of the Neighbor's Club (Kodaka Hasegawa, Yozora Mikazuki, Sena Kashiwazaki, Yukimura Kusunoki, Rika Shiguma, Kobato Hasegawa and Maria Takayama) in their clubroom, Common Room 4. It's here that the club's goal is announced.
In a dream world on a Southern island, the club members are gathered around a beach, enjoying their time. Kodaka, who's reveling, is woken up by Rika with a taser. Yozora and Sena are at each other's throats, as usual. The members try out a meal that they all proclaim to be vile. They reflect on what compelled them to try the food. They all felt that eating nabe would be a great idea, and Sena stated that she'd like to try it in the dark. They decided to go with her idea. Later, they begin making the dish, and it only got worse the more ingredients they tossed in. Yozora blames Sena for adding surströmming, and she blames Yozora for adding mangoes and strawberries. The next thing they know, a rule was added where the last person standing after eating would be the winner. Back to present time, Kodaka opens the clubroom window to ease everyone's suffering. Here, the club members are introduced one at a time.
