Once again the light blesses the back of the Jet-Black Witch's little wings is chapter 142 of the Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai light novel series. It is chapter twenty-one of volume eleven.
Summary[]
A week before Christmas, Yukimura asks Kodaka if he'll spend the 24th with her, prompting him to ask about the Christmas party. Every Christmas Eve, the previous and upcoming student councils work together to prepare the gymnasium for the party, doing most of the work themselves. Kodaka turns her down stating he already has plans that day, surprising Yukimura. Trying not to upset her, he explains how there's a party every year and that he planned to have the Neighbor's Club all attend together. Sad, Yukimura requests he change his plans, with Kodaka trying his best to persuade her. Yukimura then asks him to sleep with her on Christmas Eve instead, as on that day, the two of them would have been dating for a year, completely shocking him in the process. He reminds himself that they promised Himeko, Yukimura's mother, that they'd hold out for at least a year. Kodaka, somewhat elated, begins thinking on it until Yukimura tells him that they should break up if not, shocking Kodaka further. "Please spend Christmas Eve with me, instead of with the Neighbor's club. Or we break up" Yukimura begins praising Kodaka, telling him that she wants to do something for him, since he only does things for her. She wants to make him happy, stating she understands the club makes him happier. Trying to defend himself, Yukimura cuts him off saying he only has three months left with the club, stunning him. Not because he wasn't aware, but because it's something he had tried pushing to the back of his mind, to forget about. She repeats herself, spend Christmas Eve with her or they break up. She says she doesn't mind how he treats her after that day, and he can pursue whatever makes him happiest. He asks her to let him think about it. Kodaka ponders the situation long and hard, knowing that choosing her is the correct choice.
Christmas Eve arrives, Kodaka's in the clubroom, which has been entirely decorated with festive items and a tree. Yozora was dressed in a black cape with a hat making her resemble a witch, Sena dressed as Santa with a mini-skirt, Rika wore a large wig adorned with stars, Kobato had on a red, gothic lolita dress and Maria clothes with reindeer on them. Kodaka himself was dressed as Santa Claus. He had decided to blow Yukimura off for the club. Everyone enjoys their time, playing games and exchanging gifts when Yozora says there's still one more and runs off to the wardrobe closet revealing a hidden Yukimura dressed as a maid inside. Kodaka shocked, Yukimura bows and Yozora states "This very girl, Kusunoki Yukimura, was unbelievably dumped by her boyfriend no less than three days before Christmas! Ahaha, what an real-unfulfilling person! You won't find a girl this unfortunate even if you searched all over the world! She's even more unfortunate than us! Ahahahahaha-serves-you-right!" Yozora turns to the club and expresses that Yukimura belongs with them, and everyone, even Rika, agrees. Kodaka turns to Yukimura, still doubting the situation, when Yozora tells her to give an acceptance speech. "Death to riajuu!!" is what she chooses, and the club continues their party.
